So … Its happened, I have jumped on that almighty blogging bandwagon. Not only that I am YET ANOTHER beauty blogger!
How to start though? Do I start by introducing myself or do I just dive in at the deep end and start explain how the skin cycle works or why Vitamin C is a very unstable antioxidant? I’m not going to claim to be the best writer in the world because I know for a fact that I am not, BUT I am very passionate about what I do and making people feel confident in the skin they are in, so surely you can forgive me for grammatical errors and spelling mistakes, I am a beautician after all, not J.K Rowling.
I suppose my first blog post shouldn’t be a boring one, first impressions last a life time and all that, but that aside I think it’s important you know a little bit more about me. Why should YOU should trust ME and MY opinion on these things when you could easily pay someone to tell you the same things I can tell you. Well, firstly you could pay me as well this is what I do for a living, I am Aesthetic therapist and I work in a skin clinic. However, I know that some people don’t have the time or the money to go to these places and often be told information that they don’t know how to digest and don’t do anything with. Money isn’t my objective, spreading the good skin word is.
So quick boring intro in Skintelligence and Isabelle (the face behind this blog). I am a 22 year old Aesthetic therapist with 3 years experience in the ever changing and growing Aesthetic’s industry, living in Kent. I self-funded all of my training, not that matters but gives you an idea of the dedication I have put into becoming the best therapist I can be, because it wasn’t just a couple of hundred it was a few thousand, which at 18 years old and working in Urban Outfitters in Bluewater, was a hell of a lot to save. My qualifications include; Beauty level 2 and 3 qualifications, level 4 Laser and Light treatments, I went on an endorsed Advanced Skin Treatments course, an endorsed Laser Tattoo removal course and have since been trained in various laser and IPL machines, HydraFacial’s, skincare brands, chemical peels and micro needling treatments, I have also done Plasma Pen training, which is a new and exciting treatment taking the market by storm for lifting eyelids without surgery!
My life isn’t all skin, I am a normal human being as well, I work in a skin clinic but I also work on my days off to help my Padre (dad) as an admin assistant and Klipboard consultant. I have a love hate relationship with the gym and forever strong bond with food, especially chocolate. I like to go out out, who doesn’t right? And I have an unhealthy obsession with buying new clothes. Oh and makeup, don’t get me wrong I’m into walking round with my bald face showing off my pampered skin, but I’m also all about looking fierce on a night out!
Why have I started this beauty blog? Why have I put in the time to write about skin care and video myself talking about various skin issues/topic/areas of concern?
Because quite simply, I love it. It brings me genuine happiness knowing I have helped someone to face the world with a little less makeup on or not walking round with their heads down because they have acne scars covering their cheeks. So, I’ve tried to create something fun but still with the scientific intellect needed to give you all the information you need to take home and know why you are using the products you are or avoiding the foods you are. Basically, I am here to help anyone achieve the skin confidence they deserve. Including you.
This is it my first blog is here, posted on the internet for all the beady eyes of the cyber space to see. Let’s have a toast to your skin journey, I hope you’re excited as I am.
Much skin loving love from your skincare queen,
Isabelle P x
